The ambiance and overall atmosphere were very pleasant, and the restaurant itself was well presented. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. The flavors lacked depth and authenticity, and several dishes felt under-seasoned and somewhat bland. Given the quality I typically expect from an Indian restaurant, the food did not meet expectations. The service and atmosphere were enjoyable, but the food needs significant improvement to make the experience worthwhile.

Took my boyfriend’s mother here because she wanted to try it out. We got some apps to share and they were delicious, especially the Masala Lamb Tava Boti. Sharing apps was the perfect amount of food for us. We were given complementary papadam with multiple sauces. The staff were lovely and attentive while not hovering at the same time.

Absolutely fantastic. I’ve had a lot of Indian cuisine in my life and this is by far the best I’ve had in the USA. The butter chicken biryani was excellent and our server Deepesh was incredibly welcoming and kind. I 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone in (or far from) the area. As you can see from the photos, we could not stop eating and there was enough to take home. 100/10

I visited this restaurant, and I must say, the experience was delightful from start to finish. The ambience is incredibly pleasant—warm, inviting, and just the right atmosphere for a relaxing meal. The service was attentive and friendly, with staff making sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. As for the food, the chicken was absolutely fantastic—tender and juicy. The drinks were equally impressive, especially the Tamarind Ginger Margarita, which had a unique and refreshing kick, and the Tarbooj Twist, a perfect combination of sweet and tangy. For the main course I had a pressure cooker goat curry which was delicious.

Great experience at Zayka. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The Butter Chicken was rich and creamy, with just the right amount of spice, and the Naan was soft, fluffy, and perfect for soaking up every last bit of sauce. Drinks are super delicious and refreshing and very pleasing to the eye. What really stood out was the attention to detail and authenticity in every dish. You can tell the chefs put a lot of care and passion into their cooking. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, Zayka Indian Grill & Bar, is a fantastic new addition to Chapel Hill. If you're looking for a place to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in a welcoming and stylish setting, this is it. I can't wait to come back and try more from their menu! Highly recommend!
